The Snipe Code

General League Rules

  1. 1All players must complete registration and have a signed waiver on file before taking the ice.
  2. 2Full protective equipment is required at all times on the ice: helmet with cage or visor, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, shin guards, hockey pants, skates, and a hockey stick.
  3. 3This is a non-contact league — checking is not permitted. Incidental contact is a normal part of the game; however, deliberate or reckless hits may result in removal from that game or further suspension.
  4. 4Schedules, game updates, and any changes will be communicated via group text and email. Players are responsible for staying informed.
  5. 5The league organizer reserves the right to adjust rules, schedules, or rosters at any time in the interest of fair play and the overall experience of all participants.

Code of Conduct

The Summer Snipe League is built on good competition, good company, and mutual respect. All participants are expected to carry that spirit with them — on the ice, in the locker room, and in any league-related communication.

  1. 1Show respect to everyone involved — fellow players, league staff, and facility personnel — regardless of skill level, score, or outcome.
  2. 2Compete hard, but keep it friendly. Trash talk and taunting have no place in this league.
  3. 3Fighting or any form of aggressive physical behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the league.
  4. 4Mind your language when it comes to others. Intensity and passion are welcome — directed hostility is not.
  5. 5Respect the facility and its rules at all times — in the locker room, on the bench, and throughout the rink.
  6. 6Players are responsible for the behavior of any guests they bring. Please ensure your guests reflect the spirit of the league.

How Issues Are Handled

Jeff Adams handles all conduct-related matters that arise during the season. Minor issues will be addressed with a direct conversation. More serious incidents — including fighting, dangerous play, or persistent disrespectful behavior — may result in suspension or removal from the league. The goal is simple: make sure everyone has a great time and comes back next season.
